A few weeks ago, we wrapped up a great project with Jeffreys Interiors for Leach Partnership also known for starting Bigmouthmedia. The location was within the centre of Edinburgh on well known Queen street. Originally used as an old Georgian 5 floor house it has now been given a new lease of life, being transformed into grand offices. When work gets too much for them they have their own personal bar on the basement floor.
The interior design has plenty of interesting quirks and twists throughout the 5 floors and you get the feeling that you are in someones house and not a space where business deals will be getting crunched.
To get the most out of the Interior design we had to wait for the evening. The building sure did come alive at this time, with glowing led lighting flowing throughout your journey. We wanted the interior photographs to look moody, and dramatic to capture the real personality of the design. So choosing the evening to shoot was vital and with a mixture of our own lighting, we were able to convey this.
We used our visualisation department to render and superimpose Apple Macs on all office desk tops, as the companies workstations were not yet installed. This helped to show the rooms true function and saved us having to go to the mac shop and buy 8 macs to accessories our image.
This old Georgian building interior was a real pleasure to photograph, and we certainly got a few exciting shots for our portfolio. With interesting quirks, intriguing furnishings, dramatic lighting and spectacular views from the top floor this sure was a shoot to remember.
