Recently we completed an extension visualisation for LSM architecture with the aim to create an interesting and artistic image of a new extension they were in the process of building.
There was a tight budget and the images had to be produced quickly so to reduce the over time needed we decided to use a simple grey scale environment based on the original surroundings and only applying materials and details on the extension.
Grey scale image of LSM Extension before materials.
By focusing on adding materials and details to the extension we were able to produce the final images very quickly.
To add more life and realism to the image we replaced the artificial sky with a photo that was taken near the site.
Finally we created a more dramatic night scene using a similar process as above but we removed the artificial sun and replacing it with interior lighting.
Once the project was complete the client was very happy with the final product: “Thank you very much for carrying out the 3d visuals. They look great! In fact it is pretty realistic when compared to the ‘as built’ job“ – Scott McAllister, LSM architecture.
